CLEAREXHIBIT USE GUIDE
Rehearse the full presenter-to-phone workflow before relying on it.
Use two separate devices and the representative browser and network. Keep the normal exhibit-sharing method ready as the fallback.
Before the rehearsal
- Prepare a non-confidential sample, synthetic, public, or properly redacted PDF or image. Give every direct image a neutral filename without client, witness, or matter details.
- Choose one presenter computer and one representative iPhone or Android phone.
- Confirm both devices have network access and current browser versions. ClearExhibit does not yet publish a contractual supported-browser matrix.
- Write down the expected page or exact region before opening the session.
Run the workflow
- Open ClearExhibit on the presenter computer and start a live session.
- Upload the sample PDF or image. For a PDF, select the page to display.
- Send the unlisted witness link through the buyer's approved channel and open it on the phone.
- Rotate the phone sideways, then confirm the presenter sees the witness device as connected and synchronized.
- Test Full page, Magnifier, and Callout.
- Ask the observer to state what is visible. Record the result as a usability observation, not proof of comprehension or legal sufficiency.
Test recovery and cleanup
- Temporarily interrupt the phone network, restore it, and confirm the intended view returns.
- Return to the sample exhibit or replace the uploaded page, then verify the phone no longer shows the prior display.
- End the session and confirm the old witness link no longer provides the exhibit view.
- Record device, browser, network, timing, unexpected behavior, and the fallback used.
When to stop
Stop if sensitive material is selected, the presenter cannot confirm the intended phone view, the session behaves unexpectedly, or the fallback is unavailable. Do not continue by treating ClearExhibit as the sole exhibit-delivery method.
